PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To provide Skills Development initiatives and continuously improve competency of our workforce in order to satisfy business needs and meet safety & legal requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Ensure effective supervision of training staff.
Ensure compliance with Impala standards, procedures and legal requirements (e.g. Mine Health & Safety Act.)
Continuously revise current learning material.
Design and develop learning material.
Coordinate planned skills development interventions.
Ensure proper assessment processes which will include moderation.
Attend HRD meetings where appropriate.
Conduct skills development administration.
Ensure effective theoretical, practical and on-the-job training and coaching of trainees.
Conduct gap analysis and take appropriate action to identify risks.
Ensure that all work procedures are carried out in accordance with safety standards and practices.

Desired Experience & Qualification
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent is essential.
Relevant Trade Certificate (Rigger) (Section 13) or equivalent is essential.
3 Years working experience as Rigger artisan in the mining industry is essential.
ISO 9001, Assessor and Moderator Certificates is essential.
Relevant HR Diploma/Degree is desirable.
Level 4 ETDP Certificate is desirable but required within 2 years of appointment.
Winder Rigger Modules
Computer literacy (MS Office packages) is essential.
Valid medical certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate is essential.
