Rigger Ropesman - Free state (Mining)

A rigger ropesman (shaft /mining) , is a specialized underground artisan responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing heavy hoisting and winding equipment, ropes, skips, and cages within vertical or inclined mining shafts.

Shaft Slining and Rigging Operations: Prepare, sling, and transport heavy machinery, steelwork, and materials up and down vertical conveyances into underground production sections

Winding Ropes and Conveyances: Handle the replacement, splicing, and maintenance of winding ropes, balancing ropes, skips, and cages

Safety and Hazard Control: Work at great heights in confined, demanding shaft environments while enforcing safety protocols, assessing load weights, and maintaining clear communication with winch or crane operators
