Our Wellington branch is growing, and we're looking for a motivated Gantry Crane Operator to join the team.
Whether you already have gantry crane, forklift, warehouse, or steel industry experience, or you're looking for a hands-on role where you can learn new skills and develop a long-term career, we'd love to hear from you. Full training is provided for the right person.
We're seeking someone who is reliable, safety-focused, customer-oriented, and eager to learn. This is a physical role that requires working in varying weather conditions, with a strong focus on teamwork and health and safety.
What You'll Be Doing
- Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for dispatch
- Learning to operate overhead gantry cranes and forklifts
- Loading and unloading steel products safely and efficiently
- Receiving inwards goods and completing warehouse documentation
- Assisting with stocktakes and inventory management
- Maintaining a safe work environment and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Providing excellent service to both internal and external customers
What You'll Bring
- A positive attitude and strong willingness to learn
- A commitment to working safely and following health and safety procedures
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
- A full, clean NZ Class 1 Driver Licence
- Previous warehouse, forklift, gantry crane, or steel industry experience is advantageous, but not essential
