Louisiana Bridge Builders (“LBB”) is designing and building the new I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge in Lake Charles, Louisiana (USA) for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD). LBB will also be responsible for the reconstruction of interstate highway, various structures, ramps, and approaches for a 5.5 mile stretch between I-210 West End and Ryan Street.

POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY

The Crane Operator II (above 150 tons) is committed to supporting Louisiana Bridge Builders by operating Lattice boom cranes and/or hydraulic boom cranes as required and directed by Project Supervision.      

LOCATION 

This position is based in Lake Charles, LA.  

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Operate lattice boom or Hydraulic crane above 150 tons.
  2. Read and understand lift plans and always adhere to the lift plan.
  3. Daily inspections and complete inspection report that will be reviewed and actioned by the Crane Superintendent 
  4. Candidates should be flexible if they have experience in different cranes, there may be instances where the operator will be expected to run a different crane. 
  5. Perform all tasks efficiently and safely.
  6. Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  7. Ability to operate machinery using throttles, switches, levers, etc.
  8. Ability to maintain a National Crane Certification (NCCCO or NCCER).

QUALIFICATIONS

At a minimum, the Crane Operator II (above 150 tons) must have a National Crane Certification (NCCCO or NCCER) that is good along with 5+ years of relevant crane operating Crane over 150t capacity. Experience driving concrete piles is preferred.
