Description

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently carrying out both planned and unplanned crane activities within a fixed plant environment, working closely with the processing and maintenance teams.

This is a site-based role, working on an 15:13 FIFO roster (ex-Perth).

About the Role 

  • Inspecting the workplace for hazards and promoting safe work practices
  • Safely and effectively delivering execution of planned & unplanned crane/rigging activities
  • Resolving on the job work issues
  • Ensuring work procedures are followed
  • Referring unresolved issues and problems to the supervisor
  • Assisting Process Operations with housekeeping
  • Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using the appropriate equipment
  • Dismantling and storing of rigging equipment after use
  • The selection and fabrication of equipment relevant to the weights and sizes of equipment to be safely manoeuvred in a high-risk environment
  • Using approved signals, equipment and directing employees as per the approved procedures to ensure own, fellow workmates and equipment during hoisting and moving of loads


Skills And Experiences

About you

To be successful for this role, you will have:

  • TLILIC0040 – CN Licence to operate a non-slewing mobile crane (greater than 3 tonnes capacity)
  • CPCCLRG3001 – Licence to perform rigging basic level
  • CPCCLRG3002 – Licence to perform rigging intermediate level
  • CPCCLDG3001 – Licence to perform dogging
  • WA ‘C’ class drivers’ licence
  • Demonstrated experience in the mining or heavy industry within a process plant environment
  • Knowledge and experience with maintenance management systems
  • Proven understanding of risk assessment and management systems
