Responsibilities:
Use controls to move boom, hoist, and swing the crane to move wall panels and roof panels on road and rough terrain that includes gravel and sand
Monitor crane's position and outriggers
Perform inspections before and after use, checking hydraulics, cables, hooks, outriggers, and safety devices for proper functionality
Report any defects or malfunctions to supervisor immediately
Set up and adjust outriggers to properly distribute load weight
Utilize load charts to ensure that the crane is operating within its lifting capacity
Maintain accurate records of lifting activities, and complete all necessary paperwork and reports required
Raise and lower load with precision, and interpret hand signals from signal person to accurately position loads
Other duties as assigned
Experience Required
Proven experience operating all terrain cranes, with focus on heavy lifting capacities
Valid crane certification NCCCO and relevant certification for operating 80 ton all terrain crane
Understanding of crane mechanics, hydraulic systems, and load calculations
Strong commitment to safety procedures and practices on construction sites
Ability to climb, bend, and work in various weather conditions
Excellent verbal communication to coordinate with signal persons and other crew members
Must pass drug and alcohol test as well as physical if required
Qualifications
- high school, NCCCO crane certification
- 3 or more years operating all terrain crane on construction sites
