We are currently seeking a Tower Crane Operator / Rigger to assist with fast-paced, challenging projects in Saskatoon, SK.

      Duties / Responsibilities
  • Operate crane to lift, move or place construction equipment and materials.

  • Follow safe work procedures to assist the tower crane operator with lifting, lowering, or moving materials and loads.

  • Understand lifting and load bearing capacities of the tower crane.

  • Securing loads with suitable lifting equipment.

  • Communicate with operator via two-way radio and/or hand signals.

  • Signal and direct trucks on site for loading and offloading.

  • Inspecting rigging equipment.

  • Rig in decks and fly tables.

  • Inspect crane and calculate capacities

  • Fly tables

  • Assemble and dismantle

  • Perform repairs and maintenance

  • Working Conditions

  • Overtime after 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

  • Double time after 12 hours per day

  • Overtime and work on weekends as required

  • Two paid 15 minutes breaks and one ½ hour unpaid lunch break per day

  • Manual dexterity, mechanically inclined, physically fit

 

Requirements

  • 3-6 years experience operating tower cranes

  • 2-4 years of tower crane rigging experience

  • Journeyman Tower Crane Operator Certificate or provincial equivalent

  • Rigging ticket considered an asset

  • Fall Protection ticket required 

  •       CSTS or SCOT required 
     
  •       WHMIS required
