PLI (Powerlift Industries) is a Karratha, Pilbara based leading service provider in the Mining and Resource industries and an expanding business.

We are seeking suitably qualified and experienced Riggers for an immediate start at Sino Iron.

Sino Iron is the largest magnetite mining and downstream processing operation in Australia, located 100km Southwest of Karratha in the mining hub of the Pilbara.

The fully integrated operation features an open pit mine serviced by the biggest haul trucks in the world, a six-line concentrator and port terminal facilities at nearby Cape Preston. The state-of-the-art power station and desalination plant are among the largest in the State.

THE OPPORTUNITY

PLI is seeking experienced Riggers to join the Site Crane Services team on a permanent 2/1 continuous shift roster (days & nights), FIFO ex Perth or local to Karratha and the surrounding areas.

Reporting to the Crane Supervisor, this role is to perform Crane Operations by the department.

ABOUT YOU

• Min 3 years’ experience in rigging for XCNG, Liebherr, Tadano and Grove All Terrain Cranes
• Min 3 years’ mine site experience will be highly regarded
• Able to Work Autonomously as well in a team
• Able to follow instructions and show initiative
• Ensure that the highest Safety Standards are met for the yard and its employees
• Focused on maintaining a clean and safe working environment as well as continuous improvement and conducting all work in accordance with quality and ISO standards.
• Safety and process-focused, and willing to input and continually improve the process

REQUIREMENTS

• Required to be clean shaven or obtain a Versa flow
• Proof of Right to work in Australia (mandatory)
• Current and Valid Australian (HR) Drivers Licence (mandatory)
• Valid High Risk Work Licence (mandatory)
• Minimum RI qualification (mandatory)
• MSIC (desirable)
• WAH (desirable)
• White Card (mandatory)
• Excellent attitude to safety
• Flexible attitude to work within all our crews and to assist with other duties outside your scope
• Successful applicant is required to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing
