Rigger

I’m seeking an experienced Rigger to join a shutdown team at a major steelworks facility in the Illawarra region. This is a great opportunity for a skilled Rigger to secure ongoing shutdown work with a reputable operation, working alongside an experienced crew on a large-scale industrial site.

• $50 per hour + penalties

Responsibilities:

• Rigging and dogging duties to support shutdown activities
• Lifting, moving, and positioning heavy plant, equipment, and structural steel
• Setting up and operating cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment safely
• Reading and interpreting lift plans and rigging diagrams
• Working at heights as required for shutdown tasks
• Conducting pre-start checks on rigging gear and equipment
• Working closely with the shutdown team to meet project deadlines
• Adhering to all site safety procedures and requirements

Licences/Experience required:

• Rigger/Dogman Licence
• Working at Heights certification
• White Card
• Previous shutdown experience preferred
• Strong understanding of site safety requirements
