Crane Operator

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Crane Operator to join our offshore team aboard our clients FPSO. 

Contract will be from 18th - 23rd June.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of deck cranes during cargo handling, personnel transfers, and general lifting operations in a challenging offshore environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate offshore pedestal cranes for lifting and moving equipment, materials, and supplies
• Conduct pre-operational inspections and daily maintenance checks on crane equipment
• Coordinate with deck crews, riggers, and banksmen to ensure safe lifting operations
• Maintain accurate crane operation logs and report any defects or incidents immediately
• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, lifting plans, and permit-to-work systems
• Participate in emergency response procedures as required
• Support cargo operations including supply vessel loading and unloading

Required Qualifications:

• Valid offshore Level 3 Crane Operator certification
• Prior experience operating cranes in an offshore environment
• Current BOSIET or HUET certification
• Valid medical certificate for offshore work
• Strong understanding of lifting operations and rigging practices
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team

Desirable Skills:

• Experience working on FPSO vessels/Floaters
• Banksman/Slinger certification
• Knowledge of LOLER and PUWER regulations
