Job Description

Under the authority of the Supervisor, the crane operator performs various material loading operations using heavy machinery (crane), as well as any other material handling tasks that require the use of their machine and related accessories.

What You Will Be Responsible For

  • Operating various types of machinery (crane, wheel loader, forklift, shredder, etc.) as needed
  • Loading and unloading trucks with the crane
  • Greeting customers courteously while following our procedures and requirements
  • Participating in the unloading of materials
  • Sorting different metals according to their characteristics
  • Organizing the yard’s metal receiving and shipping activities
  • Adding information about the load and/or completing a report in the RECY software
  • Ensuring cleanliness of the premises
  • Performing any other related tasks

Qualifications

To join the team:

  • You have one (1) to three (3) years of experience in a similar position
  • You have knowledge of metal recycling
  • You have experience with heavy machinery (asset) — on‑site training provided
  • You demonstrate safe and professional behavior
  • You are versatile and resourceful
  • You have strong teamwork skills
  • You have excellent priority management skills
  • You provide outstanding customer service
