Crane Operator
Description
ROLE PURPOSE
Operate the company crane safely and efficiently to support mill plant deliveries, steel erection activities, and other lifting operations on site, ensuring continuity of lifting and plant delivery operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safe operation of mobile or overhead cranes in accordance with site lifting regulations and load charts
- Supporting mill plant deliveries and other site logistics requiring crane operations
- Working alongside construction contractors on steel erection activities
- Conducting pre-operational checks and maintaining the crane in a safe and serviceable condition
- Maintaining accurate lifting records and completing relevant documentation
- Adhering to all site health, safety, and environmental standards
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Crane Operator Licence .
- Minimum 3 years' experience operating mobile or overhead cranes in a mining or construction environment
- Working knowledge of lifting regulations and load charts
- Experience working with construction contractors on steel erection activities
- Clean Class 2 Driver's Licence is an added advantage
