Crane Operator

Responsibilities: Performs daily equipment inspection attachments, record or log and notify Operations lead, coordinator, or supervisor if there are any problems and/or issues with the equipment Coordinates with the Machine Operator / Supervisors on all work orders in production Confirms sure daily coil list is available and updated Communicates and transfers material needed for orders Performs the staging and inspection of all materials before processing Reports damaged or non-conforming products to quality rep Update locations and scale weigh products Completes all daily tasks given and communicates if not completed Empties scrap hoppers daily and records weight on scrap log Assists shipping and receiving operations when needed Assists in the operation of machine in the absence of the primary machine operator Identifies process deficiencies and reports to management Assists in other areas of the operation as requested Qualifications: 2+ years of related experience Familiar with safe work practices, and procedures Knowledge of crane capacities, accessory equipment and rigging Ability to move large sized and unusually shaped steel plates in a safe manner Ability to calculate weights of material Professional communication and interpersonal skills Physical Requirements:  Must be able to traverse the distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.  Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock. Why Join Us?
