We’re looking for an experienced Storeperson to join our client’s exciting new Auckland operation. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a growing team where your skills, reliability, and contribution will genuinely make a difference.
  
If you’ve worked in a steel warehouse environment, know your way around an overhead gantry crane, and take pride in doing things safely and efficiently, we’d love to hear from you.
  
What You’ll Be Doing

• Safely operating forklifts and where needed overhead gantry cranes to load, unload, and move steel products in the store.
• Preparing orders for dispatch and receipting stock in and out of the store, ensuring also accurately tracked in the online system.
• Provide industry leading customer service with existing and new customers.
• Keeping the work area clean, organised, and safe.
• Working closely with the team while also being confident working independently when needed.

  
What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a steel warehouse environment. It can be a challenging product, so we want you to bring experience in this industry.
• Confidence operating overhead gantry cranes. You’ll also need your gantry crane and slinging certificates.
• A current forklift certificate, with experience operating also.
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

  
Safety is a huge priority in this workplace, so we expect a strong commitment to safety from you too. Pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing will also apply for this position.
